Manufactured Housing
Manufactured housing is a often overlooked portion of the housing stock often experiences disproportionately large energy bills and per foot energy use. In this training, learn how to best serve the MH community with data-backed methods from our own team on repair and retrofit. This launch will include a Blue Sky MH Certification and preparation tools for the BPI-MH certification.

Building Analyst Pathway
The Building Analyst pathway covers a comprehensive look into the field of Building Assessment. Each step of the process builds upon the previous which leads to an analysis professional that can diagnose, prescribe, and explain steps to increase the energy efficiency of a building.

Home Performance Advocate
Earn a Blue Sky Certificate for Home performance and prepare for the Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate. This is your first step into the world of energy efficient home performance. You will learn some of the widely-used industry terminology related to building science. Building science demonstrates how various components of a home interact to affect the home’s overall performance.

Building Analyst - Technician
The BPI-Building Analyst Technician certification is an early-career credential for workers in the home performance industry. This certification gives a great entrance to the industry while providing a clear path for professional growth. Being a technician includes both knowledge and in-field application. Passing this certification includes a field exam that tests on knowledge regarding data collection and building science.

Building Analyst Professional
The BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) is an advanced certification for home performance professionals. A BA-P is a certified Technician who also conducts energy modeling, building analysis, and data evaluation in order to provide a comprehensive report with a list of prioritized home performance recommendations. Obtaining this certification includes a proctored, online test covering all previous topics as well.

Yes. Blue Sky Training offers BPI exam codes and proctored exams both in the field and remote.
Are the courses online or in person?
Blue Sky Offers both online courses and in person courses with our new training facility in Wellington, CO.
Do I need to take the courses in order?
Yes. Each course is followed by an information-specific test. You will need to show proof of completion for each step of certification before taking the next test.
What courses do I need to take?
Depending on your career goals, your course needs may differ. Common reasons for being a BA-Technician or Professional include access to rebates, code requirements, professional advancement, CEU needs, etc.

Multifamily Building Analysis
This course takes building analysis to another level in a literal sense of the term. Information in the MFBA will help apply foundational building science in Low to High rise buildings. With direct application for the field, our course helps prepare you to pass the BPI certification exam and offer a high level of analysis to building owners, operators, and tenants.
BPI Certification Courses
Total Building Performance
The TBP Certificate covers a wide variety of methods and resources to help start, manage, and successfully complete a deep energy retrofit. Information will include educational pieces for impact of decarbonization, financial management, and building science. Upgrade management includes a look into insulation, air sealing, overall HVAC equipment including heat pump technology, electrification of appliances, and renewable energy. Feel prepared and ready for advanced building projects!
Infiltration and Duct Leakage
The Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL) BPI certification covers information on air flow and how it affects both the structure and systems within a building. After building a brief foundation of knowledge on the home-as-a-system, this course trains on the set-up, testing, and analysis of both blower door and duct blaster tools. Completing certification includes a proctored field exam on these topics.

Radon Measurement Plus
In order to obtain your Radon Measurement Professional certification from the National Radon Proficiency Program, you need to take and pass an approved initial training course. We are proud to offer an approved initial training course that will help students earn their Radon Measurement certifications and prepare for the Radon Mitigation Specialist as well. Field Enablement Courses
These specialized courses are designed by our team based on field experience. They will help cover gaps in knowledge and prepare any professional in applicable ways. These courses count for continuing education credits (CEUs) through BPI.

Indoor Air Quality
Our Indoor Air Quality courses will cover the Identification, assessment, and Quality control of air within buildings. Split into three CEU courses, this group of trainings will give you in-depth information and resources for improving the indoor air quality of your own buildings or those of your clients.
